It is a local places at rural area that are located on the most coastal area around Zanzibar. It has a strong seaweed culture with many farms dotting the coastline and employing 15,000 locals, mainly women. Most seaweed that is farmed. It is composed of the Zanzibar Archipelago in the Indian Ocean, 25–50 kilometres (16–31 mi) off the coast. Among of these villages include Jambiani, Paje, Bwejuu, Kendwa and others from Unguja while Ole, Pujini.
You will be able to see while walking through the village and capitalizing on the village life of the locals carrying on with their daily activities like grinding millets with mortar pestles, thatching coconut palms and preparation of bread for evening meal (guests are welcome to taste).
